Lucy Davies is an author and journalist, contributing to the Financial Times, The Times, BBC Culture, The Gentlewoman, Apollo, The Telegraph, and the TLS. Her book about the Edwardian painter Mabel Nicholson came out in 2024, and she has written a biography of Marie Antoinette’s favourite portraitist, Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, for the National Gallery. Lucy works with museums, galleries and individual artists and photographers on exhibition texts, book forewords and digital content. She was the visual arts editor at The Telegraph and a features writer.
