Bekim Ramku

Currently working on a cultural centre for his native Pristina, Bekim has a penchant for public architecture. It’s a bent which requires an empathetic imagination: considering ‘how visitors would feel approaching, entering and using the space’. Take the nearby National Library of Kosovo in the January 2024 issue – ‘unique in the world’ as it may be, its real success is that ‘the locals are proud to have it as their landmark’.
